Join us on the inaugural Lansing Day, a day celebrating Appalachian heritage through local crafts and music while demonstrating our community’s remarkable resilience in rebuilding after Hurricane Helene.

Things to do in Lansing

There's much to discover from the beautiful Lansing Creeper Trail Park and local businesses, to the surrounding peaks and state parks.

Lansing Creeper Trail Park

Miles of trails with the scenic Big Horse Creek running through, visitors can enjoy walking, swimming, picnicking, and fishing. Farmers market in the park on Saturdays from 11 am - 4pm, April - October.

The Squirrel & Nut

Located on Main Street, this boutique offers local artisan goods and a special selection of vintage items. Open Friday - Sunday.

The Liar’s Bench

Amy Anne’s is a women’s modest clothing boutique, offering embroidery and graphic tees. Find them on Main Street.

Old Orchard Creek General Store

A full-service coffee shop & wine bar with pastries and weekend food offerings. Featuring goods & wares from local artisans, grocery provisions, books, and more.

Pie On The Mountain

Located on Main Street, this popular spot features some of the best pizza around. Stop in for a pizza, sandwich, calzone, or salad. TEMPORARILY CLOSED

U-Pick Blueberries at Old Orchard Creek Farm

Old Orchard Creek is a historic Appalachian mountain farm raising blueberries using sustainable farming practices. Blueberries are in season from late June - July.

Molley Chomper Cidery

U-Pick Lavender at Good Ashe Lavender Farm

Enjoy u-pick lavender at this certified-organic lavender farm. Lavender is in season and available to pick from late June to early August.
